sharon & clinton
Clinton had been suspiciously silent during the entire evening that we first met him with and Sharon. We hadn’t the faintest idea that it was because there was a crate full of crazy that he was trying conceal from us.
Our job as photographers usually requires some calming of nerves and coaxing couples out of the jitters, so this wedding caught us completely off guard as Sharon, Clinton, and crew, went from zany antic to another. See below for just some…
(P.S. Shaz, don’t worry.. we managed to squeeze out some conventional wedding shots too!)
An army of green men ready to storm past the door games, led by no other than Master Yoda himself...

The love between a groom and the father of his bride...

Not a tea ceremony ritual...

The groom's preparation time...

... from a different perspective

Lots of laughs...

... nothing in halves

Blowing off some steam from a stressful day...

A solemn moment at the ceremony...

The star cast of the day...

Music over cocktails...

Peaceful alone time to end the night...

the blast we had in the past...
What a nice feeling it is to know that even years down the track the moments we’ve immortalised live strong… fresh and new.
Here’s an email we received this week from Brett & Geoff who celebrated their union in a commitment ceremony two years ago on this very day. Happy anniversary guys!
Well we will be celebrating our 2 year anniversary on Wednesday. 2 years later and we still cant stop looking at our photos and we have constant compliments on them. I had to send you an email as we finally just got one of our photos enlarged.
I ADORE this photo and am so happy you guys captured that exact moment I was looking for. Betty’s Soup Kitchen was such a special place to us when we were dating. This pic is now a huge 118cm x 90cm hanging over our mantle piece.
I do still drop in to see your blog from time to time and am always recommending you to people as I want them to have the best photographers part of there day as we did ours.
Well i hope you guys are doing well and take care.

suzie & rey eshoot
There are three in this relationship, but neither bride nor groom seem to mind one bit. There’s super-planner Suzie, suspender-rockin’ Rey, and uber-cuddly Honey. Very cosy!
We decided to give the concept of ‘vintage’ a bit of a twist, and Suzie brought along an old bike, which is a theme they have carrying through their wedding invites. We always aim to take our couples to places few would recognise, but this particular shoot may have people wondering both where and when these images may have been taken. Looks very 1940s to us. Nice work Suzie!

soojin & dang
It took three wedding ceremonies over two days to prove Dang’s devotion to Soojin. Now there’s a marriage that’s destined to last forever. The first day was held in Sydney with Korean and Vietnamese ceremonies in traditional style; while day two was to be spent amongst the spring rays of the Hunter.
Soojin and Dang are any wedding supplier’s dream. Warm and accommodating, receptive and cool under pressure. Sooj had a huge dollop of ‘study’ on her plate during the crucial wedding planning months, while Dang is a self-confessed ‘groomzilla’ who, quite ironically, is not one at all probably makes it to the Saxon Cole list of top grooms ever.
Taking the wedding planning into his own hands (a cautionary tale to other grooms), Dang decided to organise a horse and carriage ride for Soojin and her ladies in waiting. A thoughtful and elegant touch to the occasion which was a fraction out of budget that we hope Dang isn't in too much trouble for any longer!
We left them after the wedding feeling quite certain that they were to have a most wonderful life together.

claire & adam
Claire and Adam had the most perfect day for their wedding. Truly a testament to good planning making for the best day ever! Claire was a skilful bride – organised and efficient with every move, creative and thoughtful at every step. Love the white bedazzled Havaianas. Those of you who have been there before will know that this gem is a little stroke of genius.
We started the day at each of the hotels they were preparing at, made our way to St Peter's Anglican Church to do the deed, and then rocked on aboard a cruise along the harbour. Can hardly imagine the day having gone any better.
I’ll let the images do the talking. Can’t wait for them to see their full stash.
